The Monkey is a cymbal banging monkey toy who appears in Toy Story 3. He is a toy at Sunnyside Daycare Center based either off a real life Musical Jolly Chimp Monkey Toy. He has no voice but does make monkey noises and has two cymbals he can clap together.

He was first seen when Andy 's mother entered Sunnyside to donate the toys where Bonnie is seen playing with him.

During the times when Sunnyside was under Lotso's control, the Monkey worked under Lotso as a guard watching all the security cameras in the office. Every time a toy tried to escape, he pushed a button that would turn on the PA and screeched into it, alerting Lotso and his other nighttime guard toys to capture them. The Chatter Telephone told information about the monkey to Woody when he came back to Sunnyside Daycare Center to rescue his friends. Woody and Slinky Dog ventured through the ventilation into the office. Woody attempted to put a bag over his face, but this resulted in a brief struggle in which the Monkey seemed to have overpowered Woody. The monkey tried to alert the other guards, but Woody restrained him long enough to have Slinky grab a nearby scotch tape. Woody and Slinky then tied him up with the tape and locked him in a filing cabinet.

In the film credits, he is seen partying joyously while watching the monitors when Sunnyside Daycare Center is revolutionized into a true toy paradise by Barbie and Ken, the new co-leaders.
