The Most Magical Story on Earth: 50 Years of Walt Disney World is a television special that premiered on October 1, 2021. The special was released on ABC to coincide the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort.
Synopsis[]
Hosted by Whoopi Goldberg, this television special showcases a historical journey through the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World showing of how Walt Disney planned to build a theme park in Florida when he bought millions of dollars for the Central Florida farmland in 1964, seven years before Walt Disney World opened and how the Walt Disney World Resort had an impact in theme park history. In addition to showcasing the history of Disney World, the special also features spectacular visuals, musical performances from Christina Aguilera and Halle Bailey, and interviews with actors such as Julie Andrews remembering her first visit to Disney World when the Magic Kingdom first opened as well as interviews with alumni working at Walt Disney Imagineering commenting of how they contributed to Disney World throughout their life.
