Synopsis[]
A group of gifted orphans are recruited by an eccentric, benefactor to go on a secret mission.
Plot[]
Season One[]
The mysterious Nicholas Benedict recruits four young orphans to save the world. Reynie Muldoon, a boy with a knack for solving puzzles, Sticky Washington, a boy who can remember everything, Kate Wetherall, a girl who is athletic and is handy with tools, and Constance Contraire, a girl who is rude and does not think like the others, but also possesses limited psychic powers. They are sent to the L.I.V.E. Institute to take down a machine called The Whisperer which sends negative thoughts into people's heads and has them complain about something called "The Emergency". The culprit turns out to be L.D. Curtain, Mr. Benedict's twin brother who felt abandoned by his sibling. Together the children overcome their insecurities to defeat Dr. Curtain and destroy The Whisperer.
Season Two[]
Mr. Benedict and his assistant Number Two are kidnapped by Dr. Curtain who has utilized a new method that will make people significantly happy. However, it has one drawback in that it eventually turns them into emotionless, immobile people. The children race against time to rescue Mr. Benedict and Number Two while also having to avoid Dr. Garrison, the scientist behind the terrible Whisperer. Following a close call, the discovery of a cure for the method, and a reunion with Number Two's family, Dr. Curtain finally sees the error of his ways and disbands his organization. Afterwards, he joins the society and informs Mr. Benedict that they have a sister who is also evil.
