New Adventures of Disney's Beauty and the Beast was a two-issue mini-series of comics released late in the life of the Disney Comics brand, spun off from the 1991 film of the same name. Unlike the later Marvel comics serial for Beauty and the Beast, and despite the title, this comic series acted as a prequel for the original film, taking place a few years prior to the beginning of said film. There were two issues released, the last of which featured heavy foreshadowing to the film. Both issues were written by John Blair Moore.
There was also a collector's pack released by Disney Comics that included both issues plus the official comic adaptation for the film. Both issues were reprinted as the 15th issue of Cartoon Tales, as Belle and the Beast: The New Adventures, and again in Disney Princess Comics Treasury.
