"The New Kid" is the first segment of the fifteenth episode of The Emperor's New School.
Synopsis[]
Ozker is a new kid at Kuzco Academy, and he's a charmer, aside from Emperor Kuzco. Kuzco then begins to suspect that the new kid has some sort of evil agenda, connected to the principal of the school, who is disguised as Amzy to try to take control over it. Kuzco decides to go on a mission to expose this new student to find out something completely unexpected about the new kid.
Plot[]
The episode opens with the student Ozker, a confident and fashionable emperor from the faraway kingdom of Seven Hills. With great fanfare, music, and dance, he quickly wows everybody at Kuzco Academy. But Kuzco soon finds himself overshadowed and paranoid, believing that Ozker is Yzma in disguise to bring him down.
With Kronk's help, Kuzco closely watches Ozker, who becomes increasingly suspicious as Ozker explores the academy, even going into Principal Amzy's—Yzma's—office. Kuzco is convinced that Ozker is part of some kind of dastardly plan to ruin his reputation, perhaps by sabotaging his yearbook photo.
On photo day for the school yearbook, Kuzco devises a plan involving a tub full of soapy water in which he will dunk everyone and unmask the true Ozker. At the last minute, though, Kuzco's conscience begins to get the better of him, and he starts to think that Ozker might not be that bad after all. Meanwhile, Kronk gets mixed up and accidentally turns on the device.
Ozker concludes with admitting he isn't an emperor, just posing as one because that is what one did. Kuzco learned how important acceptance of others and not getting clouded by jealousy when the "empire" Ozker made known that he can, in fact, come to the academy being who he is without pretension.
