Synopsis[]
When Luz realizes her “Chibiversary” with Amity is coming up, she sets out on an epic adventure to find the legendary “Perfect Gift.”
Summary[]
At the Chibiverse Magic Mansion, Luz Noceda and Amity Blight are looking over memories of their relationship in a scrapbook but find that they don't have as many pictures as they'd hoped for as they're about to celebrate their one-year "Chibiversary", to which Amity brags about finding the perfect gift for Luz, which concerns Luz as she has yet to find her anything, but lies to her that she has found one just as good. As Amity leaves, Helen appears and calls out Luz for lying, to which she admits that she has no idea what to give her, so Helen suggests finding a magical artifact called "The Perfect Gift", an unknown item in a box located on a booby-trapped island called Chibi Rock that is guaranteed to be perfect. Helen also reveals that Luz can't use Stringbean to fly there or use magic due to a magic proof barrier around the island, so she gives her a map to the island and suggests asking the McDuck family for help but dissuades her from asking Dewey Duck due to his lack of quick thinking. Luz arrives at McDuck Manor, where, to her dismay, she is greeted by Dewey, who states that his entire family left with no clue where they went before grabbing Luz's map and figuring out her plan to find The Perfect Gift, to which he invites himself along, believing he can prove that he can handle an adventure without his family, concerning her.
Later, Dewey flies Luz to Chibi Rock using Don Karnage's ship, but they are forced to parachute out as Don Karnage was already in the ship when Dewey stole it, they land on Chibi Rock and approach a temple which tells them a riddle, "If you speak my name, I vanish.", Dewey tries to tap into Huey's perspective to figure it out but falls short as an herd of large praying mantises approach them, they try to figure it out but Dewey's shouting makes it hard for Luz to focus as she asks for silence, which she realizes is the answer to the riddle. The door opens and they enter a room full of lava, Dewey is again at a loss as he tries and fails to tap into Scrooge's perspective, believing he could figure out how to get across, as Luz looks around to find a statue of Storkules that says, "Rise to the Occasion", to which she notices that the toga is real and not attached to the sculpture so they use it to catch the steam from the lava to carry them across. The following room is guarded by the Multi-Bear, who is currently asleep and blocking the final room, so Dewey tries to find his weakness but ends up waking him up, causing him to despair about not having his family to crush his bad instincts before cracking a joke about meeting a grizzly end at the hands of the Multi-Bear, which causes the Multi-Bear to break down laughing, so Dewey tells another joke causing him to laugh long enough for the two to get across.
As Luz and Dewey enter the final room, they find The Perfect Gift only for it to be stolen by a hooded figure that turns out to be Amity, who also lied about finding the perfect gift and hired the rest of the McDuck family to help her track it down, and Huey states that they tried to invite Dewey to come along but his singing in the shower blocked out Huey's shouting so they left without him, much to everyone's embarrassment. Luz and Amity decide to open The Perfect Gift together to find a mirror that shows them their past memories, meaning that they no longer need a scrapbook to look back on their time together, which ends up being the perfect gift after all. They kiss as the McDuck family watches in awe, only for everyone to be frightened by the Multi-Bear who wants to take a look.
