"The Pirate Princess" is the first segment of the nineteenth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on June 17, 2011 alongside "The Rainbow Wand".
Synopsis[]
Jake, Cubby, and Skully were playing basketball when they saw Izzy dressed as a princess. Cubby asked Jake who she was, and Izzy laughed, revealing it was just her. She explained she was dressed up and proceeded to tell them the story of the Pirate Princess, who sailed the oceans in a golden ship. Suddenly, a wicked Sea Witch appeared and cast an evil spell on the princess, turning her into gold and her ship crashed in the Hidden Grotto on Never Land. Izzy explained that only a pirate who was smart, strong, and brave could find the golden ship and break the curse. When Cubby asked how to find the Pirate Princess, Izzy showed them a map, explaining they need to follow a yellow butterfly to the Valley of Roses and then go through a Crystal Tunnel to reach the Hidden Grotto. She added that they can break the Sea Witch’s spell with a pinch of dust.
Meanwhile, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, disguised as tiki poles, were eavesdropping on the discussion. Hook asked Mr. Smee if he had heard the story of the Pirate Princess, and Smee responded that he had, explaining that "The Legend of the Pirate Princess" was one of his favorite stories. Jake spotted them and asked Captain Hook what he was doing there. Hook revealed he wanted the Golden Ship, and he and Smee quickly boarded their boat and paddled towards Never Land. Izzy exclaimed, "Yay-hey, no way! We've gotta rescue the Pirate Princess before Hook gets his hooks on her golden ship!" Jake and his crew then set out to reach the Hidden Grotto before Hook and save the Pirate Princess.
Meanwhile, Captain Hook and his crew mistakenly took a wrong turn, following a red butterfly into a heap of mud instead of the correct yellow one. Fortunately, Jake and his crew followed the right butterfly to the Valley of Roses, earning four gold doubloons. They finally arrived at the Crystal Tunnel. Izzy warned them that the crystals were very fragile and instructed them to hop over them carefully. She went first and successfully made it through. Then it was Jake's and Cubby's turn, but Cubby accidentally misstepped and bumped into a crystal, causing others to fall and the tunnel to shake. Izzy quickly pulled a lever to open the gate, and they made it out just in time. For successfully navigating the tunnel, they earned four more gold doubloons.
Jake and his crew finally made it to the cave where the Princess was trapped, along with her Golden Ship. Izzy sprinkled pixie dust on the Princess, restoring her to normal, and the Golden Ship transformed from a wreck into a glorious ship. Just then, Captain Hook and his crew arrived, but Skully scared them away by creating creepy shadows on the cave wall. For finding the golden ship and saving the Pirate Princess, they earned four more gold doubloons. The Pirate Princess thanked them for saving her and drifted away on her restored ship.
