"The Ponyhead Show!" is the first segment of the sixty-second episode of Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It premiered on March 24, 2019 alongside "Surviving the Spiderbites".
Synopsis
Star requests help from Pony Head in her attempt to increase Eclipsa's popularity level.
Plot
Pony Head hijacks the Mewni shell phone services to premiere The Ponyhead Show!, a talk show that shows off the talent Mewni has to offer. Star has her put it on so that Eclipsa can get on and play her guitar for all the Mewmans in an effort to make her more likable. During a "commercial break", Pony Head tells Star that she only wanted Eclipsa to be an audience member and had no intention on putting her on; further claiming that her appearance and instrument (a guitar made out of bones) is also unfashionable to be on screen and has her sisters take it away. Unfortunately, Pony Head is unaware of the fact that much of Mewni dislikes her show anyway as evidenced by the constant down votes.
As Marco and Kelly struggle to have their cooking segment on (constantly put aside due to Pony Head's influence and Marco accidentally telling Kelly that wrestling is fake), Star tries to get Pony Head to listen to reason, but her ego gets in the way as she fills all the segments with bits about herself. To make matters worse, Seahorse has hacked into the phones so that it is impossible for the Mewmans to turn off The Ponyhead Show! for any reason. Elsewhere, Pony Head's sisters insist on giving Eclipsa a makeover, resulting in a gaudy 80's style fashion that freaks out Star. They decide to take a stand with Eclipsa returning to her old look and reacquiring her guitar while Star holds Pony Head off.
Eclipsa gets on and finally performs her song "Here I Am", which actually calms down the angry mob that has formed around Pony Head's estate. Star, Marco and Kelly are amazed at the performance while Pony Head is still angry with them. The mob is still upset and still want their phone service back. Star is disappointed that the show did nothing and promptly gets rid of the equipment. Eclipsa tells her that she would rather be hated for who she was than liked for being something she is not. Outside, a little girl named Rosemary shows appreciation for Eclipsa's song and gives it an up vote.
