The Princess Diaries 3 is a placeholder title for an upcoming American romantic comedy film, and a sequel to 2004's The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.

On November 15, 2022, The Hollywood Reporter reported that a third film in the franchise is officially in development, with Aadrita Mukerji writing the screenplay, though Anne Hathaway had not yet signed a deal to return.[1]
On October 4, 2024, it was announced that Adele Lim would be directing the film and Flora Greeson writing the screenplay.[2] Later that day, Hathaway confirmed that she would return as Mia Thermopolis.[3]
On June 2, 2025, the film officially entered pre-production with the crew visiting Czech Republic to go "castle shopping".[4]
