Coulson and the team's victory in the Framework is short-lived, revealing an even deadlier enemy looming against them all.
Plot
Coulson and May are confronted by Ivanov's android bodies at the oil platform, and are forced to fight them off as they catch up on the events May missed so far. Meanwhile, with Daisy and Simmons awake, the agents restore the Zephyr One's cloaking ability and fight back against Ivanov's men before hurrying the oil platform to save the others. Yo-Yo is depressed that Mack was left in the Framework and blames Daisy for it, who tries to convince her he didn't want to leave his daughter behind. AIDA, delighted at feeling human emotions for the first time, is eventually convinced by Fitz to empathize and save the captives. Coulson and May make it to the surface and are rescued by the Zephyr One with a containment module, and at the last minute Mack is saved by AIDA and Fitz before the oil platform explodes. They land the Zephyr One at a destroyed Playground base. Having been rendered unconscious and placed in isolation in a containment module by Simmons, Fitz and AIDA discuss the events inside the Framework, but AIDA is outraged as she realizes Fitz still loves Simmons. AIDA assaults Fitz, who manages to escape as AIDA displays her newly acquired Inhuman abilities. Outside, Coulson tries to explain the situation to US Army Forces led by Brigadier General Talbot, and lets them go as AIDA goes on a rampage, killing several soldiers. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents take off on the Zephyr One, and Simmons joins and cries with Fitz in a containment module, whilst Daisy and Coulson discover Yo-Yo had plugged herself into the Framework to convince Mack to return. In Ivanov's submarine, AIDA has returned and plots to apply the Framework to reality using the Darkhold. Back at the Playground's ruins, Ghost Rider returns through an Inter-Dimensional Gate after Talbot and his soldiers leave. Inside the Framework, Yo-Yo wakes up in a burning building, and screams in horror.
