Plot[]
Despite the others' tentative tolerance of his presence and Omega's encouragement, Crosshair still struggles with the repercussions of his betrayal and captivity. Echo returns to Pabu, and together the Batch discusses Mount Tantiss and the experiments conducted on the clones. To get more details from Nala Se's datapad, they reluctantly follow Crosshair's suggestion to connect it to a computer terminal at his former post on Barton-4. Finding the depot abandoned, they are forced to divert power from its defense perimeter, thus inviting a huge wyrm to attack them. Setting aside their differences, the Batch works together to lure the creature outside the perimeter before activating an auxiliary power source, reactivating the defenses. With Crosshair having earned his squadmates' trust back, and with the information they recovered, the Batch sets out to free their brothers from Tantiss Base.
