"The Scare Council" is the first segment of the forty-fourth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on November 1, 2019 and is the first segment of the nineteenth episode of the second season.
Synopsis[]
Boris becomes president of the Scare Council but when the board rejects his park idea, Vee gives it a Transylvania twist.
Plot[]
Boris shows Vampirina his official attire for the Scare Council, which every member of the Scare Council wears. She is excited for the meeting, and Boris mentions that it is about improving the monster community with Spooks, Shrieks, and Scares. However, the most important part is to bring monsters together for the ghoul of the community, which Boris hopes he can do, although he is nervous. He is scareman of the board, and Vampirina mentions that he's been a leader for lots of things. Just as Boris mentions there's nothing to worry about, he knocks some things, but Vampirina tells him that he'll be the best scareman ever, and that she's proud of him.
Boris decides to give the council some gifts from the Hauntleys' new home, and assumes that it will love human things just like the Hauntleys. Everyone then heads to Spookleton Castle, where the council arrives and is proud to have Boris as the scareman. Gregoria is the scare-ographer, and will write everything down so they know what happens at every meeting. Boris then welcomes everyone to the Scare Council, and starts with a howl, as per tradition. Vampirina then provides the gifts, and Demi hands out the flowers, which wolves are allergic to. Up next is the sweaters, which Boris hands out. However, Boris states that he likes the old black and no kitties. Since the council doesn't like the gifts, Demi brought along some spooky snacks made by Chef Remy Bones.
Boris then presents the ideas to scare-ify the community: spooks, shrieks, and scares. First up is Alice Ravenson, who demonstrates the Super Slimy Frog Storm. Vampirina and Demi like it, and next is Narcisa, who demonstrates a cobweb with help from Vampirina. As for Dr. Paquette, he announces that werewolves are allowed to howl all night long. Boris has an idea for the most important goal of the Scare Council; he decides to make the old spider pit on Slime Street into a park, modeled after the Hauntleys' favorite park in Pennsylvania. Vampirina mentions how great the park is, however, the entire council votes against the park, as it is not spooky enough.
Boris then goes on a break, and mentions that Nanpire was one of the scariest leaders of the Scare Council. He assumes he's not monster enough, but Vampirina says otherwise. That's why she loves him, as he taught her that it's okay to love both monster and human things. What matters is that Boris cares about monsters, but decides that he's not right for the council anymore. Vampirina decides for her, Poppy, and Gregoria to make changes to the park so that it is more spooky. Vampirina calls the council, stating that the park is a great idea for the ghoul of the community. She offers them to help make the park more spooky, and Demi shows how it's done. Vampirina tells Boris about it, and he comes up with more ideas. The council likes it, and are all in favor of the park. Later, Boris announces that the park on Slime Street is officially open. He thanks Vampirina for the help.
