"The Search for Super Guy" is is the first segment of the forty-first episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.
Synopsis[]
Ms. Night, the new journalism teacher, encourages Hiromi to find Super Guy.
Plot[]
Sometime after the events of the previous episode, Mud Singer learns of his humiliating defeat through videos of the incident shared with him by other inmates en route to the prison where he is to be held. Enraged, Mud Singer causes the bus to capsize and plots revenge on Super Guy. Meanwhile, Principal Funderberk introduces the school's newspaper team to their new journalism teacher, Ms. Knight, hoping to increase interest in the newspaper with her contributions. Hiromi, desperately wanting to write interesting stories, suggests writing about the disappearance of Super Guy, with Knight encouraging her to reveal his secret identity as well, much to Fred's horror.
After Fred notifies Kevin about the situation, he has Hamster and Gretel help him film an apology video stating that Super Guy had to "return to his home planet." Elsewhere, Hiromi and a reluctant Fred follow leads that take them to places Super Guy has been, unaware that Mud Singer is following them. Having come across a book that was checked out from their school's library, Hiromi attempts to search for the student who checked it out, only for Mud Singer to attack. Once Kevin, Hamster, and Gretel arrive, they witness Mud Slinger suffer from a dry throat, inspiring Gretel to use the studio lights from their filming to harden the mud coating Mud Singer. After the villain is defeated, Hiromi attempts to resume her search only for Fred to "accidentally" destroy the book. Gretel then shows Hiromi the video, leading her to write a story about the fight in the library instead.
With his identity no longer in jeopardy, Kevin and Fred shift their worries to Hamster and Gretel, as Knight encourages Hiromi to find the connection between Super Guy, Hamster, and Gretel.
