"The Secret Planet" is an episode of Wander Over Yonder.
Synopsis[]
Wander’s white lie sets off a ridiculous chain of events that threatens to expose a hidden planet to Lord Dominator.
Plot[]
Wander and Sylvia go looking to visit another planet, but learn that many of them have already been destroyed by Lord Dominator. They then discover a tiny nature planet wedged between two destroyed ones and decide to visit it. Wander wants to tell other visitors after seeing what the planet has to offer, but Sylvia tells him that Dominator would most likely discover it and that they need to keep it a secret. Sylvia goes to collect lumber and asks Wander to find fronds. However, Wander spots a burning ship in the sky and waves it down to save them. He does not tell Sylvia and rushes into the woods to check on it.
Wander encounters the travelers who are nomads looking to escape Dominator. Believing that Wander is the king of the planet, they thank him for his hospitality and build a fire and create a feast for him. Wander attempts to tell them that they need to put the fire out and not give him any food, but they believe that they have displeased him and try to make a bigger feast by building a larger bonfire. He takes whatever food they have and runs into the woods with it.
While headed towards the beach, Wander encounters a pair of rich socialites named Clancy and Nancy Shmancy, of the Fancy Shmancys, who saw the bonfire and mistook the planet for a resort. Wander takes on the persona of a French waiter to serve them and they ask for a couple of fruit smoothies. Wander runs back to the nomads who give him two fruit smoothies, who proceed to build a large Wander statue, but he ends up running into Sylvia who believes that one of the drinks is for her and takes it. He ends up giving one of the drinks to the Shmancys, who have hooked up a dance floor, but claim they do not share.
Wander runs into a family of tourists, composed of two anthropomorphic cameras and their anthropomorphic cellphone son, who proceed to take flash photos of the area. They spot Sylvia, but Wander distracts them by pretending to be a monkey and steals the cellphone's juice box which he later gives to the other Shmancy. However, the Shmancys have brought construction workers to the planet in an effort to build a new home there and Wander pretends to be a realtor agent so as to lead them away from the beach, but this results in them bringing explosives. The tourists encounter the nomads who believe they are Dominator spies and Wander rushes to save them.
Sylvia finds Wander and he finally breaks down what has happened with Sylvia telling him that he knows what he must do. Wander finally gathers everyone together and tells them the truth about what he has been trying to do. To his surprise, everyone has heard of him and are grateful for how he helps people throughout the galaxy and now openly want to aid him. Wander directs everyone to turn off all their lights and noises just as Dominator's ship arrives and they manage to successfully avoid getting caught.
Sylvia reveals what she has been building this whole time: a large underground bunker for other travelers. Wander and Sylvia open the hideaway for other people escaping Dominator, declaring that this is the best kept secret.
