The Square World is an unproduced Disney animated short or feature film that would have been released in 1943.
Synopsis[]
The main idea of that film was that a new machine was able to make everything square (including people and animals) and that an evil government was using it for its own wealth.
Trivia[]
- This proposed wartime short satirizes the conformist society of Nazi Germany. This was considered to be extended into a feature film project at one point.
- A very popular rumor says that Carl Barks took inspirations from some storyboards of this film showing square birds for creating his comic-book Lost in the Andes, where Donald Duck meets square chickens in a lost city of the Andes.
