"The Tale of Ratsputin" is the second segment of the ninety-third episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on July 20, 2015, and is the second segment of the thirty-second episode in the third season.
Plot[]
On Neverland, Skully is about to tell Jake, Izzy, and Cubby spooky stories when Marina and Stormy tell them about something horrible crawling out of the shipwreck they swam past. Stormy mentions its characteristics, and Izzy heard a legend like that before. She tells a story about it, stating that the sailors were scared by a giant rat called Ratsputin. Jake and his crew decide to help Marina and Stormy find out what scared them while proving that the legend of Ratsputin is true.
Jake and his crew soon hear fat rat footsteps, and are then confronted by Brewster the Beast Trapper. He is also looking for Ratsputin, which is the one Neverland creature he'd never seen. Brewster was about to build a trap, making for a chance to get a long look at it. Jake and his crew decide to help Brewster build the trap. Once it's set, Brewster mentions that the dummy will be bait for Ratsputin, who'll think he's a real live pirate. Jake's crew and Brewster then hide and wait for Ratsputin to take the bait.
Wind blows the dummy down, so Cubby puts it back up before hiding. Ratsputin then arrives, and when Jake releases the trap, Ratsputin runs away. Cubby sees that the trap got Ratsputin's tail, and Jake knows it isn't a real tail, but a piece of rope. This means that the rat was someone in disguise, and Izzy wonders who would do that. Brewster sees that whoever was wearing the costume made a mess of tracks, and he and Jake's crew follow them.
Jake and Skully then spot Captain Hook watching Sharky and Bones digging for treasure. Brewster then spots Ratsputin about to scare Captain Hook. Izzy uses her Pixie Dust on Jake's crew and Brewster to net Ratsputin. Jake takes the costume off, revealing Ratsputin to be Mr. Smee. He dressed up as Ratsputin because Captain Hook is looking for a treasure called The Great Gobs of Gold. He's using the legend of Ratsputin to scare folks away. Jake and his crew then go to visit Captain Hook so Brewster can tell him.
Meanwhile, Sharky and Bones retrieve the treasure, which Captain Hook is about to open when Jake and his crew arrive with Brewster, who releases Mr. Smee. Captain Hook then opens the treasure to reveal cheese. A giant shadow then shows up, with Cubby thinking it is the real Ratsputin, scaring Jake and Captain Hook's away. Cubby gets left behind, but the giant shadow is actually from a little mouse. Cubby shows the crews the real Ratsputin, who has a big appetite for cheese. Brewster knows that he and Ratsputin will be the best of mates, and Ratsputin gives Brewster a cheese slice.
Jake mentions that his crew will tell Marina and Stormy that there's no reason to be afraid. Afterwards, Jake and his crew return to Pirate Island to put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Cubby then serves Jake and his crew cheese from Ratsputin, which Skully plans to put his crackers on. Meanwhile, Captain Hook's crew are heading back to the Jolly Roger. Captain Hook thinks there's nothing more frightening than an approaching rate when Tick-Tock the Crocodile shows up, chasing Captain Hook away.
