"The Telltale Duck" is the nineteenth episode of Season Three of the sitcom Jessie. It aired on August 8, 2014.
Synopsis[]
Betram convinces Jessie to act as his girlfriend at his high school reunion and help him lie about his success. Unfortunately, their lies lead them both into trouble. However, when Jessie and the kids stand up for him towards an old high school bully of his, Bertram realizes that having them and the perks of his job make him successful. Also, after hearing that his old bully also lied about his success, Bertram and the rest of the group laugh at him as he also doesn't have a full head of hair.
Meanwhile, Ravi steals a video game and lies about it, as he tells Luke about his actions. However, Zuri finds out about Ravi's actions and blackmails him to do her homework to keep her from telling Jessie. After having a nightmare and advice from Emma, Ravi decides to return the game with their help. Unfortunately, they see someone overheard their conversation, and they try to hide the evidence nearby. Luke destroys the game up and tosses it, and Jessie catches them soon after. Ravi tells Jessie the truth of stealing the game, to which she says she is disappointed in him, calling him Luke by force of habit before correcting herself. She then tells Ravi to return the game and admit what he did, but Ravi tells her he can't because Luke destroyed it.
In the end, the boys and Zuri are forced to work at the game cart as punishment for their actions: Luke for destroying the game, Ravi for stealing it and Zuri for both blackmailing Ravi and not doing her homework. Ravi is doing community services for stealing the game, while Zuri and Luke walk around the park advertising the cart, and Emma organizes the games. After Zuri and Luke apologize to Jessie for their actions in helping their brother and not telling her, Emma asks her why she is being forced to work at the cart as she didn't do anything wrong and told Ravi the right thing to do. Jessie explains to Emma that she wanted the afternoon off and leaves the park to have some time to herself.
