The Wise Little Hen is an anthropomorphic hen from the 1934 animated short of the same name.
Background[]
Personality[]
The Wise Little Hen is a chick mother who is shown to have a wise personality - offering her children to plant corn. Despite being seen with a mostly happy expression, she is also shown to feel bad to those who refuse to accept her offer such as Peter Pig or Donald Duck who make an excuse about the problems they have. Despite being cooperative with the chicks, the Little Hen also shows to have a dislike to those who don't help out in growing the corn for her as well as those who lie to her as in the case when she realized that Peter and Donald feigned to her that they had a bellyache. Just as the Little Hen offered them to "help" them finish the corn for her, she realizes that neither Peter nor Donald helped at all and that they lied to her, causing them to receive castor oil instead, causing the Little Hen and the chicks to feast on the corn themselves.
Appearances[]
The Wise Little Hen[]
The Wise Little Hen is introduced at the beginning of the short holding a basket of corn. As the chicks become excited about the corn, the Little Hen offers them that she will give them corn if she helps plant the corn for her, so they decide to accept her offer. Later, she asks them for the help of Peter Pig and Donald Duck, who feign bellyache. Having managed with her chicks, she returns to see the pig and the duck help in the picking. They redo the blow of the disease. This time, the hen realizes that they are liars, when one of the planks of their clubhouse came down after they come in and seeing them shaking hands. She contacts them again during the tasting, that they agree to volunteer; however, the basket which she gives contains castor oil. She and her chicks have a feast to themselves.
