Despite Minnie trying, Bast the cat doesn't want to swim at Pete the Mighty's Pool Party.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the gang entering Funny, excited to go to Pete the Mighty's party. Upon entering the Land of Myth, they meet Pete the Mighty, who enthusiastically welcomes them inside. The gang meets Bast, Ae-cha and Kyung Won. As the guests have a fun time, the sun comes out and it becomes hot. Not wanting his guests to be uncomfortable, Pete takes them to the pool and allows them to change in the cabanas.
Everyone (except for Bast) has a fun time in the pool. When asked, she explains that she doesn't like to swim, which upsets Ae-cha, who wants to play with Bast in the pool. Minnie takes notice and asks Daisy to help her ask Bast to take a swimming lesson. When asked by them, however, Bast still refuses to learn how to swim. Despite Funny's attempts to discourage her, Minnie still goes after Bast, who is hiding. Bast explains that she doesn't like the feeling of water in her ears, so Minnie encourages her to still play by standing by the side of the pool.
This, however, ends up in vein as Bast still gets splashed. Mickey reminds Minnie that it is not nice to make someone do something that they do not want to do and Minnie apologizes to Bast for constantly pushing her. Pete comes up with a compromise: there will be a diving contest, and Bast and Ae-cha will judge from a balcony so that Bast doesn't get splashed, which everyone agrees to. Once the contest commences, Bast declares Donald the winner. Soon, the gang returns to Funny. The episode ends with Funny producing a souvenir to remember their trip and Mickey and Minnie waving goodbye to the viewers.
Trivia[]
Pete the Mighty has an inflatable yellow horse in his pool named Seabiscuit. It’s the same inflatable horse, with the same name, that Donald had in the 1939 cartoon Beach Picnic. Just like in that cartoon, Donald was the one who sat on and floated atop Seabiscuit.
