Thomas Anthony Doherty is a Scottish actor. For Disney, he portrayed Harry Hook in Descendants 2 and Descendants 3. He also appeared as Sean Matthews in The Lodge, which premiered on Disney Channel in multiple territories throughout Europe in fall.
Biography[]
Doherty was born in Edinburgh on April 21, 1995, and attended Royal High School in Edinburgh. After high school, Doherty attended The MGA Academy of Performing Arts and graduated after studying music theatre in 2015. Doherty began waiting tables in Edinburgh at Tigerlilly restaurant before auditioning and working with the Edinburgh Fringe before getting work at Disney.
After appearing on The Lodge, Doherty was cast in Descendants 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the global hit Descendants. A member of Uma’s pirate gang, Harry serves as her right-hand man and is always ready to hook someone.
Outside of Disney, Doherty appeared in television shows, like Catherine the Great, Legacies, High Fidelity, and the 2021 reboot of Gossip Girl. He is a trained dancer in a range of styles including contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and ballet, and also sings and plays guitar.

- To get into his role of Harry, he would walk around set looking mad, with his hair all over the place and laughing.
