I'm amazed at how little attention this has got. This is amazing! Perhaps the best and most thorough biography of Goofy I've ever seen, even if it only includes the Goof Troop universe. You're knowledge of facts from that show is incredible. Do you have any plans to make one for Pete or Max in the future?
I've considered doing one for Pete, though it wouldn't be as extensive since his backstory info isn't as thorough as Goofy's. Max is another possibility, but a lot of his history is already known from what has been shown onscreen in all his animated appearances.
One of the main things that motivated me into wanted to do this bio for Goofy was the sheer amount of biographical info that was given about the Goof Troop version of Goofy, and the fact that most if not all of this info is barely even known or acknowledged by anyone. Like, who knew that Goofy spent seven years in high school? Or that he used to be a legendary biker? That latter bit was even the main focal point of a whole episode, and yet it's barely even a blip on anyone's radar when it comes to common knowledge about Goofy these days.
Anyway, I'd love to make more bios like this for the likes of Pete, Max, or even Peg (yep, even she got some background info in Goof Troop; like, did you know that the last time she ever picked up a gun was at hers and Pete's wedding? Or that she and Pete had been married for twenty years by the time of the episode "Peg o' the Jungle"?) but right now, I'm currently in the middle of a much bigger project that's taking all my free time to work on. So, any other bios like this may not come for a while.
But, in the meantime, I am open to giving out little biographical tidbits if anyone wants to know any such info about the characters. Like, Pete once claimed to have left the Army, meaning that he was in the Army at some previous point in his life. Or, Pete at another point once claimed to be a non-smoker.

Sorry. I just now saw this response. Anyhow, you make great points! I think Goof Troop just isn't really that well-known for anything other than being the debut of the modern version of Max. Its episodes aren't easily accessible, and it doesn't get talked about as much as Ducktales or Darkwing Duck. I didn't know a lot of stuff about Goofy or Pete's past until I read your biography and your response. I do hope some of this information becomes more widely known. Good work, and thanks for making all this information just a little more well-known and accessible to the general public. Keep it up!
I disagree with the notion of Goof Troop's episodes not being easily accessible. While only two-thirds of its episodes have been released on DVD, the entire series (minus one episode) is available to watch in remastered HD format on both Amazon Video and iTunes.
And, in this day and age, the Internet has plenty of other, ahem, "unofficial" venues for viewing all episodes of many old TV shows, including Goof Troop.
The show is definitely out there for people to watch. People just don't seek it out because they just don't care to, because Goof Troop is one of those underrated series that, like you said, isn't as fondly regarded as the likes of DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, or Gargoyles. The most that people give it credit for is in its spawning the much more lauded A Goofy Movie.
I wasn't aware of it being on Amazon and iTunes. Good points, though. I suppose the show really is out there, it just, for some reason, isn't cared for or talked about as much. Regardless, good biography, and thanks for all the neat trivia!
