  • Can anyone give a reasonable explanation of why Mickey Mouse Review had to be closed in Florida to be moved to Tokyo? It's a Small World and Haunted Mansion weren't closed in Florida, yet they both exist in Tokyo. Why?

PS - Mickey Mouse was my favorite attraction. Can't believe it's taken me 30 years to ask this question!

    • â—¾One of the reasons the attraction got removed from Florida was because The representatives of the Oriental Land Co. began touring Disneyland and WDW in the 1970s and choosing the attractions that would comprise their new Tokyo Disneyland park, the Mickey Mouse Revue made their list. Of course, the least expensive means of achieving that would be to send the original overseas. For whatever combination of mitigating factors existed, its exodus ultimately turned out to be an acceptable concession; it was the only attraction at either Disneyland or WDW that was shipped to, rather than replicated for, Tokyo. That's Why. (Sorry You have to Wait two Years)

    • I added the reason. Because it felt it needed an explanation
