Seeing as Gigantic is going to be released two years after Moana, and, none of the concepts showned are of CGI modles or artwork of any kind, does anybody believe that Gigantic will be the first full length feature animated Disney Animation movie to finally use the anticipated Meander Animation Style (Hand Drawn layered onto CG)? I personally believe that it will for two reasons...
1) Disney Animation would have learned how to master it after one or two more shorts that use this feature. Paperman is still declared today as Disney's best short, and, Feast was able to incorporate paint colours into Meander fairly well, so, they would have been able to progress the technology more. Chances are, the Zootopia and Moana shorts will continue to experiment with Meander.
2) The Disney Revivial year is nearly over believe it or not. It technically started at 2009 when John Lasseter and Ed Catmull had complete oversight of the upcoming projects that Disney Animation were going to produce and they implemented the whole "film-maker driven" procedure when that movie began. The last "Disney Revival" movie that will be released will be in 2019 (presumably Wreck-It Ralph 2). Gigantic would be a fantastic way to feature an animation style to introduce the next decade...
So, what does everybody else think about this possibility?
