    • Very well let me try to spark a conversation here then, and comment on vote I placed in the polls.  Ya it sounds rude, but hey! Sometimes the best way to get things done is to do them yourself.

      1) My favorite era was the Disney Renaissance. The Golden Era has a lot of nostalgia value and the Revival Era is fun, but The Renaissance era is a lot more personal for me because I grew up during the time those films were made and released. I mean going under the sea with the little mermaid, going on a magic carpet ride, fighting monsters in Greece, and exploring the mysteries of Australia were just breath taking on the big screen. As a kid I can say that I loved a lot of them with only two exceptions...

      2) Monster Inc. was the very first Pixar film I watched in theaters, i was told Toy Star was the first, but it is Monster Inc. I truly remember. It was just a very creative world and environment these character lived in, and the basic storyline was easy to follow. What I loved about the story was that nothing is as it seems. The motivations of every characters are new and change as it progresses, and the conclusion is actually a sweet one that is really nice to see in a film.

      3) Ariel come on admit it of all the princesses she is the fairest of them all

      4) I think Timothy Q. Mouse is one of the best supporting characters to ever exist. He isn't the story teller like Jiminy Cricket, he is not the full comedic relief of Timon & Pumbaa, and he is not absurdly ridiculous like Olaf. He the man who is there for Dumbo when no one else gave a !@#$, and he saw what Dumbo's mom saw, which was potential. Yes, he had to use a little... motivation, but overall he was compassionate, helpful, and made the best friend one baby elephant could have.

      5) Beast. While he suffers from a... um love interest. Beast is the best Disney characters I have seen, and for him to be a male character is rare in a Disney movie.

      6) You all know my vote

      7) I actually really loved James and the Giant Peach. Of course it has its very absurd moments like a giant flying rhino that eats people... what? A giant flying rhino that eats people.... WHAT? I mean that is hilariously absurd and the most ludicrous villain I ever heard of. More over as a kid it sparked my fear of rhinos

8)Jodi Benson. I mean come on I have never ever heard a more beautiful, smooth, fluid voice in my entire life, never! I mean the song Part of that World that song voice brought tears to my eyes by God! There is just something that is both powerful and emotional in it that makes you feel for Ariel's character. This was really well done because that helped emphasize price she paid to become human, and you really feel for her.

Idina Menzel on the other hand might have some strong vocals, but the voice just doesn't quite capture everything you saw in Elsa. Don't get me wrong, Elsa is a great character, its just that (while I get where the people were going with) Idina fails to fully capture Elsa voice wise. It like her expressions say one think and her voice says another at times. Perhaps the only time when both caught it perfectly was Let it go, but other than that Jodi still wins by a long shot

      9) The Land Before Time........ Should anyone ask I'll answer

      10) Anastasia's dress was beautiful, Elsa is facing stiff competition to beat it out

      11) Its Captain America! What not to love about him? (unless your a hate filled Communist, socialist like Bernie Sand Snake)

      12) Team Captain America! The less government the better of we are in both the real world and the fantasy world

      13) To bring back hand drawn animation... How can I make myself clear.... I would be spear heading the charge at the Walt Disney Animated department to demand them to discard their computer generated animation movie, and make some life lasting traditional animation! Both the public and the company would be better off for it because unfortunately for movies like Wreck-it Frozen, Big Hero Six, and Moana will age terribly, and be forgotten to the sands of time while quality animated movies like Snow White, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin will forever continue to live on in our hearts.

    • Only voted in one so far (Ariel vs. Belle, obviously).

      So far as in-depth explanations:

I don't have a favorite era, largely because I don't hold to favorites. I actually fear holding to favorites thanks to Toy Story. That being said... I think I'll connect with both Golden and Renaissance.

So far as Pixar, again, can't hold to a favorite or listing which one is the greatest. I guess I could go behind The Incredibles due to it being one of the few films to actually promote conservative values (Gilbert Huph aside, anyway).

Greatest classic character? I don't know, maybe Mickey I guess? I'm really not a stickler for greatest choices.

As far as most evil villain, that's easy. Maleficent easily outranks all of them, yes, even Claude Frollo. She isn't called the Mistress of All Evil for nothing, after all.

For the fairest Disney Princess, well, that's difficult to answer. Technically, that would go to Snow White since she was explicitly stated to be such in her film, but on the other hand, the other Disney Princesses aren't slouches in the looks department (well, maybe Belle, as she's really plain even in her film). I guess I'll go with Ariel largely because her looks are stunning, especially for someone who is fairly flat-chested.

For the best supporting character, I really don't know which one is the best. Many of them are good in their own right.

For best Disney hero, I'll go with Beast, mostly because of how he developed. Aladdin also is a close second. If Eric was on there, I probably would have picked him as well.

As far as the Belle vs. Ariel thing, my answer is the same as the last time it was asked, and it was Ariel (who unfortunately is having a lot of credit stolen from her by Belle thanks to that idiot Woolverton claiming that none of Belle's predecessors had any goals other than love and marriage and just waited for their prince to come).

So far as greatest animated/live action film, I really don't know how to answer. I guess it's a tie between James and the Giant Peach and Tron: Legacy (that IS the one with Clu 2.0, right?).

I'll go with Jodi Benson, both due to her work for Ariel, and because quite frankly, I wasn't happy with Let it Go.

I guess I'll stick with both American Tail and Land Before Time.

As I've never actually watched either movie, I'll pass on this question.

Don't have a favorite Avenger, but I guess I will go behind Captain America, mostly because he does promote the American way. That being said, after reading Liberty the God that Failed, which was written by a very conservative Catholic, I'm not so sure I can trust America anymore. And I'm not favorable to Socialists or Communists (actually, I utterly hate those groups due to what they tried to do to us Christians). I also don't think government is the answer. Humans should never be given power or held to high regard, and government, ultimately, is a human institution. What I prefer is God ruling over us all, we all being his utter slaves.

Next question, I'd opt to remain neutral on this, really. I do agree that there are definitely times that government does more harm than good, so in that respect, I agree with the anti-registration elements. On the other hand, if we go to the route of Michel Foucault and Jean-Paul Sartre and advocate for anarchy, not to mention not do anything that actually would have registration be needed to weed out threats to the people (ie, we let known terrorists walk into our country simply because, hey, we shouldn't profile and we shouldn't register them, and then there's the whole vote fraud issue that's going on), I would also support the pro-registration. Besides, absolute, unrestrained freedom can actually be even worse than restraints at times. Just look at the French Revolution, where the people killed their government and then proceeded to eat each other, not having any law and order in there at all, it was basically the law of the jungle there. Ben Franklin may have stated that sacrificing freedom for security means we deserved neither, but I'm pretty sure even he would have agreed that the French Revolution and how things got out of hand due to limitless freedom that there are times that there does need to be some checks to freedom.

And last question, yes, I most certainly would bring back hand drawn animation. I'm sick of the whole CGI craze that many times actually ruins a film than helps it (look at the Prequel Trilogy, Avatar, and Matrix movies, not to mention most of DreamWorks fare right now). In fact, many times, CGI often is used at the expense of telling a good story. Probably the only CGI company that actually does try to tell a good story is Pixar, maybe also Ice Age as well. If Disney wants CGI, they should limit it to their subsidiary Pixar. Traditional animation does not carry the same risk of being used in a gimmicky manner than CGI, so it's better off being brought back.

Reason I put in best, least, greatest, and other top titles like favorites was simply because from my personal experience most people i've met leans one way or the other towards characters, movies, and background they make a connection to, which they prefer over other.

If you even get the chance you should watch Anastasia it is a very well done Princess movie that has a lot more depth than you would even see on a Disney Princess.  It is more of an adventure of discovering once past rather than a romance.  I think you would like it, but everyone has their preferences

You weren't happy with Let it Go?

I recently watch An American Tail, so I can see why people would place it on the same level as Land Before Time

I'm a sucker for the demon Chernabog, but Maleficent is a close second

For me in term of the anti or pro I'm more of the person who believes that the less government there is, and left to the devices of the people then you have a better chance at making a life for yourself and others.  While government is merely a tool to represent and (at a small level without interference)  keep democracy and captitalism in a proper check and balance system, as our founders had organized it to be.
