Sorry to sound off this late here, After 4 months of searching for a suitable outlet for the show, Michael Jacobs Productions was unable to come to terms with any suitable network freeform included out of the low viewership.

Let's explore what went wrong, The first season went right, it went great. the second season somewhat, than came the middle of that with girl meets ski lodge. terrible collapse to such a great show, Disney may have told MJP he needed to edit down to the 9-12 year olds (defined as the lower half of the networks target demographic of 9-16 ) and he accepted the terms, that's as far as he could go without causing complaints. He was only able to keep extremely limited amounts of teen relevant subject matter in without causing the 13-16's to be turned off completely. we were lucky enough to get the third year, than its time ran out as they aged out.

Because we shifted to the teen demo not the child demo in the middle of season 2, the network collapsed under the pressure, it couldn't handle it, the kids aged out the show is over.

They basically edited to the lower part of the demo until they were able to drop the license, and thereby end their time with it.

Which could have led to sale to Netflix, they could have cleaned it up and spent time undoing Disney Channel's excessive editing for content because they're privately hed not publicly tradeable, so they don't need to be answering to broadcast S+P.

Freeform could have taken it, and the the fans would have rejoiced. it could get rid of the 700 club in the early mornings. air in the early mornings and before kids are wide awake it could air as it was intended scot free.

The company's newest Streamer DisneyNow should try its hand at what netflix hulu and amazon do, original series production. It could have been sold there and aired as a DisneyNow original series age restricted to 13-16 year olds with a pin code being required before watching it by anybody below that age, or locked to them entirely....... that also works...
