Thumpity-Thump (Thumper song) is a deleted song from Disney's 1942 animated feature-length film, Bambi. The song was recorded by Thurl Ravenscroft and included in the 1962 Disneyland Easter album Peter Cottontail during the ending of "The Story of Thumper", narrated by Lucille Bliss. [1]
Lyrics[]
Thumper: Thump, thump, thump, thump
Thump, thump, thump, thump
Thumpity, thumpity, thumpity, thumpity, thump
Bambi: If you're down to your last leaf of lettuce
And the future looks gloomy to you,
Thumper: Go thumpity thump thump,
Thumpity thump thump thump
And the skies will all turn blue.
Bambi: Now, if you've lunched on your last crunchy carrot
And you're all out of celery too,
Thumper: Go thumpity thump thump,
Thumpity thump thump thump
And the sun will break right through.
Bambi: That's why a rabbit gets into the habit
Of thump thump thump and along.
And that's why a bunny is always so sunny
When some, some, something goes wrong.
Chorus: So the next time you feel kind of grumpy,
Take a tip from the cocktail crew.
Thumper: Go thumpity thump thump,
Thumpity thump thump thump
And the world will smile at you.
Chorus: Thumpity thump thump,
Thumpity thump thump thump
And the world will smile at you.
