Kiff and the Buns play a board game that makes them all crazy competitive.
Plot[]
On a stormy day, Kiff hangs out with Barry at the Buns residence. Upon hearing thunder, the other Bunses start grinning at each other, while Barry becomes nervous. To a confused Kiff, they explain their history of playing Head of the Table, a board game that makes them so fiercely competitive that they ultimately agreed to only play it during thunderstorms, where there is thunder to drown out the sound of their loud arguing. Nonetheless, Kiff sees the game as harmless and joins them in playing it. Before the game even starts, Kiff finds herself having to break up arguments between Harry, Terri, and the duo of Mary and Kristophe over game pieces and game rules.
During the game, Kiff draws a card that costs her three turns, but Barry convinces the others to let her draw another card, as it is her first time playing Head of the Table. However, when Kiff draws a new card entitling her to six game nuts from Barry, he suddenly stops smiling. After then being penalized in the game by Harry and Terri in consecutive turns, Barry silently gets up and walks inside a closet. The other Bunses are unsurprised and tell Kiff that Barry tends to do this when he is losing the game.
Kiff manages to talk Barry into returning to the game. When the game resumes, Barry loudly calls out Mary when she draws a card and tries to ignore the penalty specified in the card. As the game continues, Barry reveals himself to be the most competitive player out of all of the Bunses, and he regains his footing by sending the others' game pieces to the Garden of Worms penalty square. Kiff is left as the only other player with a chance to win.
Everyone takes a break from the game for snacks. Having now seen Barry's unhinged competitiveness, Kiff worries about how Barry will react if he loses the game, imagining him spending the rest of his life never getting over losing. While Barry is in the bathroom, Kiff tells the others that she plans to forfeit the game. When she tells Barry, however, he mocks her and insinuates that she stood no chance of winning against him anyway. His remarks offend not only Kiff, but the other Bunses, who encourage Kiff to beat Barry once and for all.
The game resumes again with Kiff and Barry as the last two players standing. Kiff gains the upper hand by landing on the Table Town Aerial Tram square and drawing a card that allows her to go to the top of Mount Table and the Mayoral Council, making her the "Head of the Table". Barry is left with no path to victory except to roll a six, an outcome with only 1-in-100 odds. Kiff and Barry exchange taunts as Barry rolls the game die, which lands underneath an armchair. Before the two can lift up the chair to inspect the die, the storm subsides. In accordance with Buns family rules, the game is stopped, and everyone leaves the house to view the new rainbow in the sky and play in the puddles in the front yard.
Back in the empty house, the camera zooms underneath the armchair, revealing that the die is still stuck on an edge and has not yet landed on a number.
Head of the Table is a parody of the board game Monopoly.
