Timothy Walter "Tim" Burton is an American film director, film producer, animator, writer, and artist who is known for directing gothic and dark fantasy films. He is best known for directing The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, Batman and Batman Returns, as well as the 2005 piece, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the alien invasion spoof, Mars Attacks!.
Burton has worked with Disney on various occasions, starting his film career at the studio.
