Trivia[]
- Curry auditioned for the part of Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but was rejected because the producers found his performance too frightening.[citation needed]
- He was originally considered for the voice role of Jafar in Aladdin, along with Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Christopher Lloyd, before Jonathan Freeman was chosen.[citation needed]
- He was also considered to voice Scar in The Lion King, along with James Caan, Ray Liotta, Robert Duvall, and Malcolm McDowell. It was later planned to have Curry voice a rock python character who was to serve as Scar's minion.[1] However, in the end, Jeremy Irons was cast and the python character was deleted, with the hyenas serving as Scar's minions instead.
- He was also considered for the role of Dr. Claw in Inspector Gadget, but Rupert Everett was cast instead.[citation needed]
- He was also originally going to voice King Nedakh in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, before the role was ultimately given to Leonard Nimoy.[citation needed]
- In 2012, Curry suffered a major stroke. As a result, he is now in a wheelchair and has limited speech. However, in recent years, he has done several voice-over works and is currently speaking to fans on Fanmio.
