Tio Tortuga is one of the main characters from Sheriff Callie's Wild West.
Personality and traits[]
Tio Tortuga is a wise, self aware, kindhearted tortoise. He is of Hispanic descent, and speaks with a Spanish accent. He is said to be 110 years old, making him the oldest character introduced in the show. He has deep-set eyes, a soft green skin, rough brown patches, and wrinkles. He has a typical tortoise shell, which happens to be an olive green and a soft yellow. He can be found sleeping, playing checkers along with Uncle Bun, or participating in activities with the rest of the inhabitants of Nice and Friendly Corners. He was also revealed to be "El Yo-Yo".
Clothing and Accessories[]
He wears a bright crimson vest, and similar to most characters in the show, doesn't wear any trousers or slacks. He does not wear a shirt under his vest either, unlike Deputy Peck and Sheriff Callie. He often carries a brown cane, and seems to have a golden watch tucked away in his pocket.
Relationships[]
He is seen playing checkers with Uncle Bun in nearly every episode, indicating Uncle Bun is his most trusted friend. He gets along fine with all of the residents of Nice and Friendly Corners, and is always there to provide advice or share a story whenever needed.
Trivia[]
- His name literally translates from Spanish as "Uncle Tortoise".
