Elena and Mateo arrive in Vallestrella on Skylar and Migs respectfully. Elena has recieved word that the Sunbirds have finally fixed the Scepter of Light. The group arrives in the Sunbird Sanctium and recieves her Scepter back at last. When Elena asks where Hool is, Qapa and Lama take her, Mateo, and the Jaquins to her, and to their shock, Hool is weak and off color. Lama and Qapa inform Elena that she is dying because she used too much of her life force to fix the Scepter. Horrified, Elena summons Zuzo, who tells her that the only thing that can save Hool is the magic from the Pool of Aziluna. However, Hool is too drained to fly there. Lama reveals that there's a way to give her enough pep to fly there and flies off to get it.
Back in Avalor. Ash and Carla are working on the map to Takaina without much luck. Carla is annoyed by it's complexity but Ash reminds her that that's because it leads to unbelievable power. Carla wants to go back to Avalor Palace and free Victor. Ash tells her they will after they reach Takaina. Ash solves the puzzle and heads to where the red dot is. Back in the Sunbird Sanctium, Lama and Qupa arrive back with a Vidaflor, a magical flower that restores youth. The Vidaflor makes Hool young again, and Elena thanks Qapa and Lama for saving her. But Qapa tells Elena that they used their last Vidaflor, and its effects will wear off in a few hours and she must get her to Aziluna before that happens. Mateo claims that they can get to Aziluna before the magic wears off, but Lama isn't so sure because Hool can get distracted very easily, so Elena's group sets off to Aziluna with Young Hool in tow.
Back in Avalor, Carla and Ash have arrived in an empty field that is quickly proven to not be where Takaina is. Carla gets upset about not going back for Victor again. Ash tells them they will get back on track after they eat and rest. However, Carla leaves a note and goes back for Victor. Elena's group arrives back in Avalor, and young Hool is fascinated when she sees a "butterfrog with no wings". She says that there are three things she's always wanted to go in Avalor: Tempa Muul, hug a Noblin, and eat a churro. Elena promises Hool that she'll get to do all three after Aziluna. However, Young Hool gets them sidetrack with vists to Tempa Muul and Pueblo de Oro that culminates with Jiku accidentally turning Young Hool into a golden statue. Elena's group is forced to go back to Avalor Palace to get an Ungilding Potion.
Meanwhile back at Avalor Palace, Carla arrives and steals Higgins's uniform. An alarm is raised. Meanwhile, Elena's group has obtained the potion. Before they leave, Elena hears about Carla and apprehends her with her Scepter. They then head back and restore Hool. The group arrives at the Pool of Aziluna. Zuzo explains that Hool has to dive into the pool, swim down until she finds the statue, and touch foreheads with it to release the Breath of Life. Before Young Hool can dive down, the Vidaflor wears off, and now she's too weak to swim. Elena is upset that she decided to stop Carla, but Hool blames herself for taking so long to get to Aziluna, and now she's fading away. Elena dives into the water to get the Breath of Life and successfully retrieves it and saves Hool. Meanwhile, Ash discovers what Carla did through the note she left behind. Meanwhile, Elena's group arrives back in the Sunbird Sanctium where Qapa and Lama are happy that Hool is okay, and they ask what everything was like in Avalor. At first, Hool is disappointed that she never got to eat a churro until Skylar flies in with a basket of churros for her by Elena's request, to Hool's delight.

- In the Glorious Now
- This is the second time the statue of Aziluna is seen in the show, the first being Elena and the Secret of Avalor. It's also a plot point that it'd be dangerous for an ordinary human to swim down to the statue, which is why Sofia had to become a mermaid to do it.
- Carla is captured and reunited with Victor.
- The part where Elena goes "Oh, Hool" is a nod to the times in Sofia the First where Sofia goes "Oh, Amber" and "Oh, Minimus".
- Moral: There are times to be serious and stay focused.
