Antonio Salvatore Iadanza, better known as Tony Danza, is an American actor, television personality, tap dancer, former professional boxer, and teacher, who is best known for his television roles as Tony Banta in the ABC/NBC sitcom Taxi from 1978 to 1983 and Tony Micelli in the ABC sitcom Who's the Boss? from 1984 to 1992. He also hosted his self titled sitcom The Tony Danza Show.
For Disney, he portrayed Mel Clark in the 1994 fantasy-sport-family live-action film Angels in the Outfield, Barney Gorman in The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon, Norman Waters in Noah, Jay in Outmatched, and hosted Disneyland's 35th Anniversary Celebration and The Walt Disney Company Presents the American Teacher Awards. He also played the role of Gary in Darby and the Dead.
