Anthony Frank "Tony" Hawk, nicknamed "The Birdman", is an American actor, professional skateboarder, and entrepreneur. A pioneer of modern vertical skateboarding, Hawk completed the first documented "900" skateboarding trick during the 1999 X Games. He also licensed a skateboarding video game series named after him published by Activision that same year. He retired from competition in 2003 and is regarded as one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. Hawk has been involved in various philanthropic activities throughout his career. He is also the founder of the Tony Hawk Foundation (now named The Skatepark Project), which helps to build skateparks in underprivileged areas around the world.

For Disney, he made a cameo in Max Keeble's Big Move and guest-starred in the Phineas and Ferb spin-off Take Two with Phineas and Ferb. He also appeared as himself in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Additionally, Hawk's eponymous series formed the basis of Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure, which notably reused the engine and mechanics from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 while introducing simplified controls and characters from the Disney and Pixar franchises.
