"Too Many Termites" is the fifteenth episode of the Disney Jr. animated series, The Lion Guard. It premiered on July 15, 2016.
On July 11, 2016, the episode was made available on the Watch Disney Junior app.
Plot[]
One night The Lion Guard gets an alert from the aardvarks saying their den is full of hyenas. The Lion Guard quickly rushes over, where Kion uses "The Roar" to blow the hyenas away. A couple of days later, the Pride Lands become infested with termites as the guard notices an old log bridge has collapsed and a tree home of a family of bats is falling apart, though Bunga seems to be profiting from it, while everyone else is concerned by the outbreak. Kion and the others then consult Simba and he too is puzzled. Then he suggests the Lion Guard should consult with the Pride Lands' termite controlling experts the aardwolves. Ono claims he's heard of them, but never seen them. Simba says they're very shy and only come out at night, then when he says they like to live in abandoned aardvark holes and how they resemble hyenas, Kion realizes the hyenas he roared out of the Pride Lands the other night were really the aardwolves. Simba understands that Kion made a mistake, due to nature's mimicry so they go into The Outlands to bring them back, but when the aardwolves see they're after them they think they're out to get them so they run away. Soon Ono notices the aardwolf leader Mjomba is heading for a cliff and the Lion Guard quickly save him and explain to him this unfortunate misunderstanding and how the Pride Lands are now infested with termites. Meanwhile the rest of the pack have run into an abandoned den where they think they'd be safe, unaware that Reirei and Goigoi are watching them and they plan to eat them. They go over there pretending to be friendly like in The Kupatana Celebration, telling the aardwolves that they'll be their friends and protect them from the Lion Guard. Soon Mjomba arrives and tells his pack that the Lion Guard are the good guys and they only kicked them out because they thought they were hyenas and they need them to come back because of the termite infestation. The aardwolves are excited to hear this and decide to come home with the Lion Guard, but the jackals refuse to let them go so they block the entrance with a rock. Suddenly Ono sees they're in trouble and the Guard bursts in to save them, trapping the jackals in their den. After they return to the Pride Lands, Bunga is feeling depressed from the lack of termites, until Ono drops a little thank you gift of termites for Bunga from the aardwolves.
