The Town Square Theater is located on Main Street, U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom. It opened in April 2011, replacing The Walt Disney Story and the Town Square Exposition Hall.
Summary[]
Town Square Theater is a meet-and-greet location where guests can meet Mickey Mouse. The venue was created for this purpose alone to give Mickey a new permanent meet-and-greet location after the closure of Mickey's Toontown Fair.
Beginning in March 2023, The Art of Disney store resides inside the lobby of the building.
Meetable Characters[]
Right Room[]
Mickey Mouse has always been meetable at the venue since its opening. Initially, he wore his standard tuxedo outfit, but beginning in 2013, he has worn a magician outfit that is exclusive to this location. This is Mickey's default outfit at this location outside of special events.
Beginning on October 31, 2011, the character's talking version was used for play-testing on some occasions before it became a permanent addition on October 23, 2013. In May 2018, Mickey reverted back to the standard non-talking version.
Minnie Mouse was formerly meetable at the theater from 2011-2012, when she moved to Pete's Silly Sideshow. She continues to meet with Mickey on some special occasions such as during the 90th Birthday celebrations, where they wore their 90th Birthday outfits, and during the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations, where they wore their 50th Anniversary outfits.
Left Room[]
The left room was home to the Disney Princesses. In September 2013, they moved out of the space over to the newly-opened Princess Fairytale Hall at Fantasyland.
In May 2014, following the closure of Tinkerbell's Magical Nook, Tinker Bell moved into the space that had been vacated by the Princesses. However, she only meets alone without her fairy friends.
As of 2023, despite the meet and greets with Mickey returning returning, Tinker Bell has not returned, and it is currently unknown when she will.
