"Trading Faces" is the second segment of the forty-ninth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.

Synopsis[]

A villain captures Hiromi and threatens to expose Hamster and Gretel’s identities on the news.

Plot[]

Having learned about Hamster and Gretel's identities in the previous episode, Hiromi is shocked that Kevin has been hiding things from her. However, as Ms. Knight returns to the classroom, Kevin flees. Ms. Knight is then revealed to be The Imposter, who has been spending months attempting to learn Hamster and Gretel's identities, which he plots to expose on the 3:00 news. Hiromi attempts to warn Kevin, only for The Imposter to capture her.

When Fred, Hamster, Gretel, and Bailey learn about The Imposter's plans, they race to rescue Hiromi. Unfortunately, The Imposter has complicated matters by creating multiple fake Hiromis and placing all of them in perilous situations, culminating in the heroes, Fred, and Bailey getting trapped in industrial-strength molasses. Meanwhile, Kevin arrives at the TV studio, where he manages to find the real Hiromi, but The Imposter traps them in a cage. As the 3:00 news begins, The Imposter prepares to announce Hamster and Gretel's identities, only to instead reveal his own name, as Hiromi discreetly swapped out Hamster and Gretel's DNA results with his real name.

After Hamster and Gretel defeat The Imposter, Hiromi promises to keep Hamster and Gretel's identity a secret, but Gretel, still distrustful of Hiromi, remains skeptical. Kevin subsequently expresses relief that he no longer has to keep secrets from Hiromi, with Hiromi preparing to reciprocate Kevin's romantic feelings towards her, only for Mordros the Annihilator to arrive and announce that he will destroy everyone.
