The Tri-Crested Tittertwill is a type of bird that was featured in the Donald Duck universe. It was first featured in the Donald Duck comic book, Assignment Birdwatch which was first published on June 15, 1988.
History[]
The Tri-Crested Tittertwill is an extremely rare bird that is found only in the Black Forest of Duckburg first appearing in the comic, Assignment Birdwatch (aka Protective Cacophony). A female Tittertwill appeared in the comic where Huey, Dewey, and Louie are tasked to keep an eye on the bird to make sure there is no noise that disturbs her while nesting on a chimney. However, Donald Duck unfortunately made so much noise which bothered the bird as these birds are extremely sensitive to noise and too much will drive one away. It is also known that Tittertwills are extremely sensitive to loud noises as anyone who is near this bird must be extremely careful not to disturb the bird. Donald's noise caused the bird to move to Donald's chimney where the four must watch the Tittertwill in a new location where they must watch the bird nesting in their own backyard to avoid disturbing her and her five hatchlings.

Camp Woodchuck Kitchen[]
The Tittertwill was also featured in the Camp Woodchuck Kitchen restaurant at Tokyo Disneyland with its scientific name being Funnylookus tittertwillus. According to the informational sign at the restaurant, info states that the Tittertwill's diet consists of grubs, chubs, small fish, and leftover pancakes and the species is known to be gluten intolerant as well as showing info about the birds' plumage appearance for both males and females being differed. In addition to this, it is also said that Tittertwills nest in both high, protected settings and low, easy-to-watch areas in which said info gives a clue of why these birds are rare in the Donald Duck universe. Additionally, an animatronic male Tittertwill can be seen nesting ontop a rocky plateau with a sign next to him which tells guests not to disturb the bird while guests are waiting in line to get food from the restaurant, followed by the Tittertwill being depicted on the "Woodchuck Greeting Trail" signage, the area where guests can meet Donald and Daisy in the area.

DuckTales (2017)[]
A Tittertwill also appeared in the Season 3 premiere episode of the DuckTales reboot, "Challenge of the Senior Junior Woodchucks!", which is the species' first animated appearance as the episode itself features elements inspired by the Camp Woodchuck Kitchen restaurant at Tokyo Disneyland where only one Tittertwill has appeared in the animated series. In this series, the Tittertwill is seen in its male plumage variant design used for the Tokyo Disneyland restaurant and the bird itself is known as the "Tittertwill Bird of Knowledge". It is one of the species encountered by Scrooge McDuck, Dewey, Louie, Webby, Donald, and Della as the competition between Huey and Violet Sabrewing begins while trying to explore the area which Isabella Finch discovered.
In the episode, the Tittertwill is first seen passing through a window of the Junior Woodchucks room where it is seen squawking by itself while Scrooge is discussing with Della, Webby, Dewey, and Louie about Isabella Finch's adventures to which Scrooge becomes disturbed by the bird's singing as Dewey is distracted by its tune. Later as the competition between Huey and Violet begins, the Tittertwill pops up in front of Scrooge's group, Scrooge asks Dewey to know what the Tittertwill was doing to which Dewey explains that the bird is giving him the "irresistible urge to several moves" while Webby finds the moment exciting, much to Scrooge telling the group to continue exploring the trail without being distracted while the robotic mosquito sent by F.O.W.L. continues pestering Donald just as the Tittertwill follows the two while Dewey, Louie, and Webby attempt to catch up. Later when Scrooge, Dewey, Louie, Webby, Donald, and Della arrive at the area where the Lightning Rain of Chimpopo occurs at, the Tittertwill pops underneath a huge log just as Dewey follows it followed by the group trying to catch up with Dewey who is following the Tittertwill out of the log and into a large tree.
As the group gets out of the log, Scrooge continues discussing with the group about the area where Isabella Finch discovered without getting distracted by the Tittertwill to which Dewey tells them that the Tittertwill led them to safety. As Scrooge tries to get past the Tittertwill, the Nandi Bear arrives and ferociously snarls at Scrooge while the Tittertwill grabs the map and runs away. Upon evading the Bear, Scrooge tells his family to follow the Tittertwill and retrieve the map.
Following the Tittertwill into a cave, Scrooge feels furious about the Tittertwill's singing constantly pestering Scrooge during their journey to find the area where Isabella Finch explored and arriving at the cave, Webby is curious to know which tunnel passage was the one where the Tittertwill arrived to which Scrooge and his family discuss that they are adventurers and they should never give up. Scrooge copies the bird's singing and upon hearing it in one of the tunnels, he tells his family to know if they sholud follow the Tittertwill to which they agree to do so. The group then follows the the Tittertwill to the area where Launchpad is at, where the Senior Woodchuck ceremony is taking place at. After Violet wins due to Huey's failure, the Tittertwill pops up next to Scrooge who is in the audience grabbing the map much to Scrooge's annoyance. Huey then describes the Tittertwill as the legendary mascot of the Woodchucks as well as the bird being a descendant of Finch's personal pet and it is also shown that the Tittertwill was actually guiding Scrooge and his group to Isabella Finch's treasure. The Tittertwill then opens a hidden alcove to reveal Finch's Lost Adventure Journal inside, which contains Isabella Finch's adventures in it.
