"Truce Bomb" is the second segment of the sixty-fifth episode of Big City Greens.

Synopsis[]

Tilly tries to solve a long-standing feud between Gramma and Mr. Grigorian.

Plot[]

While Tilly plays with Anoush, she is once again accosted by the bitter arguing between Gramma Alice and Mr. Grigorian. She resolves to finally put an end to their feuding and recruits Cricket into her scheme. The two come to the conclusion that the one thing they have in common is the love for their cats Dirtbag and Anoush. They set up a free cat food stand and beckon Alice and Mr. Grigorian to come out with their cats, only to get into another argument. Tilly explains what she is trying to do to Bill, who warns her that it is probably best to leave well enough alone, despite her good intentions. With no other option, Tilly becomes Dr. Tilly and sits them down at Gloria + Green Café to sort them out.

Mr. Grigorian reveals that when he first moved into Big City, he wanted to share his singing with his neighbors, but an incensed Alice threw trash at him and he responded in self-defense with his own garbage. He insists that he wanted to be a friendly neighbor while Alice accuses him of budding in on her land as Big City took almost everything from her. The two suddenly realize that neither one is at fault and it was all a complete misunderstanding; agreeing to call a truce. Alice and Mr. Grigorian become friendlier neighbors to one another, however it quickly becomes apparent that without their arguing, the two of them have become lifeless and lethargic and lost their zest for life.

Realizing what she has done, Tilly decides to get them to hate each other again; first by tossing trash at Mr. Grigorian disguised at Alice and then leaving a crude drawing to Alice with a note claiming to be from Mr. Grigorian, but both schemes fail. Tilly and Cricket kidnap Dirtbag and Anoush and both elders confront each other over the matter. They quickly figure out that they have been tricked by the kids and scold them over their attempt to get them to hate each other again, however when Mr. Grigorian calls Alice stupid, the two suddenly begin to squabble. Happy to have found a reason to hate each other again, the two "happily" begin to argue with one another, much to Cricket and Tilly's enjoyment.
