Tulgey Wood is a location in Wonderland. It is a forest that never seems to end. Those who do not know it well enough often tend to get lost here. It is home to many bizarre creatures, such as the Mome Raths. It was created inside of Alice's mind during her sleep under the tree.
Appearances
Alice in Wonderland
Alice wanders into the wood, having given up chasing the the White Rabbit after leaving the tea party. While there, she encounters many weird and bizarre creatures, including the Mome Raths, who point her to a path that she assumes will lead out of the wood. Alice starts along the path only for it to be swept away by the broomdog. Feeling hopelessly lost, Alice sits down on a rock and cries, as do the sympathetic wood creatures before they fade away with the forest. At last, the Cheshire Cat reappears and he shows her a way out: a secret door in a tree leading to the maze of the Queen of Hearts.

Trivia
- In the book, the wood was never named. The "Tulgey Wood" was actually the name of the wood in the poem Jabberwocky from the book Alice Through The Looking Glass, where the unnamed hero finds and kills the Jabberwock.
- Concept art for Alice in Wonderland showed some Tulgey Wood creatures that did not appear in the final version of the film along with different and early versions of several that did.
- The scene of Alice's encounter in Tulgey Wood, as well as "Very Good Advice" is left out of several book adaptations, likely for its emotional dissonance from the rest of the film.
