Turning Red is an upcoming Canadian 3D computer-animated coming-of-age film produced by Pixar set to be released on March 11, 2022. The film will be directed by Domee Shi and written by Shi and Julia Cho, and will be Pixar's 25th feature film.

Synopsis

Set in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in Turning Red, Mei Lee is a confident, dorky thirteen-year-old torn between staying her mother's dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. And as if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren't enough, whenever she gets too excited (which for a teenager is practically ALWAYS), she "poofs" into a giant red panda!

• This will be the first Pixar film to have a theatrical release since Onward, which was released just days before theaters shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused Pixar to move its next two films to Disney+.
• This will be the first Pixar film to have a worldwide (including the United Kingdom (e.g. England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland), Ireland, Australia (e.g. Brisbane - Queensland, Sydney - New South Wales, Melbourne - Victoria, Canberra - Australian Capital Territory, Perth - Western Australia, Adelaide - South Australia, Darwin - Northern Territory, Hobart - Tasmania), and New Zealand (e.g. Auckland).
• This will be the second Pixar film to be released in March, after Onward.
