The USS Palomino is an exploration vessel that appeared in the film The Black Hole. Her mission was to discover inhabitable life on distant planets under the command of Captain Dan Holland.
Background[]
After a fruitless search for other habitable planets, the small exploration craft made an astounding discovery by finding the lost USS Cygnus floating in space. After escaping destruction of a nearby black hole, the Palomino suffered damage but managed to land aboard the Cygnus for repairs.
As the Cygnus prepares to enter the black hole, Harry Booth cowardly took off without the crew only to be shot down and collide with the Cygnus.
