Rasheed attends the Islamic Masjid of Jersey City. When nominations open up for the Mosque Board, Rasheed puts himself forward as an applicant.[1]

He attends the mosque, with his best friend Yusuf, and the pair sit in the front row, while the Sheikh is giving his lecture. In the middle of his sermon, the Sheikh asks two of the girls, sitting behind the partition to keep quiet, and Rasheed turns around, when Kamala, Yusuf's daughter, expresses how it's difficult to concentrate, when they can't see him.[1]

After the lecture is over, Rasheed can be seen conversing with Yusuf and other members of the mosque.[1]

He attends the Eid Al-Adha festival, when Nakia Bahadir hands Yusuf a poster, in favor of her vote, for the Mosque Board. Rasheed sees this and questions what Yusuf is doing. That evening, Rasheed and the others attendants of the festival are alerted to the screams of a young boy, and find Hameed, hanging by a curtain from the window of the mosque tower. He watches in fear, as Hameed falls, but the heroine Night Light arrives, and creates an energy constructs mid-air, which Hameed safely lands on. Before Hameed can climb onto the roof, the construct shatters, so Night quickly creates various smaller constructs, to cushion his fall. Nonetheless, Hameed gets injured, after falling onto the hood of a car, and Rasheed and the others in the crowd, gather around him.[1]

After a fugitive escapes from their prison, the DODC do a sweep of the local area, which includes the mosque. Damage Control enter the premises, led by Agent Deever, and Rasheed, alongside the others attendees, presents his ID, before the request can be formally made, having had past experience with the local authority. Agent Deever puts out a general description on the escapee, which matches a large percentage of those inside. As their search may take a while, Abdullah recommends she try one of Rasheed's freshly baked cookies, and Rasheed shares that the secret ingredient is nutmeg. Deever appears to be visibly annoyed by the two, and Abdullah suggests she may not like the cookies, but Rasheed is insistent she will.[2]

When Zoe Zimmer uploads a video, in which she warns her followers that Damage Control have stormed her school, in the hunt for two enhanced individuals, Rasheed forwards the video, to Yusuf.[2]
