"Unquenchable Thurst" is the second segment of the fourteenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series StuGo.

Synopsis[]

NICE TO PEAT YOU! Pliny dislodges a naturalist from a bog and joins him on a journey of discovery.

Plot[]

Pliny and Chip are out bird watching on the island, with the latter once again failing to adjust to the flora and fauna. This is made difficult when he accidentally swallows a bird call whistle, making him sound like a duck. When Pliny chases after a bird, she finds herself unearthing a mummy within the bog whom she is able to identify as Thurstavius "Thurst" Brinkman Throop, a naturalist who discovered numerous bird species, all of which have since gone extinct. While Pliny decides to help Thurst look for new species, Chip continues getting things stuck to him until he starts to resemble a duck-like creature.

Thurst, whose mummified appearance makes him thin, flexible and liable to get blown in the air, starts "discovering" things on the island, only to be told by a disappointed Pliny that not only have these things been discovered, but some of them were created by Dr. Lullah herself on the island. He is further angered to learn that it is not okay to name things after themselves, which he finds ridiculous. Just as he gives up, he spots Chip in his predicament. Pliny allows him to assume that he is a new species and they "study" him, ending with Thurst naming him after Pliny. Unfortunately, Thurst wants to eat him, revealing that he made his own discoveries go extinct.

Pliny attempts to tell Thurst the truth, but he does not believe her and kidnaps Chip and escapes on the remnants of his old ship. Pliny takes Dr. Lullah's speed boat and arrives where she battles Thurst. Just as he ends up gaining the upper hand on her, Chip finally spits out the whistle which Thurst ends up swallowing, allowing Pliny to defeat Thurst who flies away over the ocean. Pliny gets Chip back to the mainland where she successfully removes the rest of the flora from him. Chip reveals that he has been incubating mummified eggs, which end up hatching. Pliny is overjoyed by the saved birds, though they turn out to be just as disgusting as Thurst was.
