The untitled Okoye series is a cancelled Disney+ original series, that was set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and would have centered around the character Okoye. It was going to be a spin-off of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Production

On May 27, 2021, Deadline reported that Marvel Studios was developing a series centered around the character Okoye with Danai Gurira reprising her role as Okoye. The series would serve as an origin spin-off of the character.

On November 9, 2022, it was reported that multiple Wakanda based spin-offs were in development, including the Okoye spin-off.

On January 13, 2023, it was reported that actress Danai Gurira confirmed the project was real and was still in the works. However, on February 24, 2025, it was reported that the series was no longer happening, but Okoye would appear in more projects.
