The Upsilon-class command shuttle is a multi-purpose transport shuttle that appears in the Star Wars franchise. It is used by the First Order as an armored shuttle for high-class dignitaries and top-ranking military officials. Kylo Ren uses this model of command shuttle as transportation during the First Order–Resistance war.
Background[]
The Upsilon-class shuttle has massive wings that makes it look intimidating like a bird of prey. The wings are equipped with several defensive systems. The upper ones have advanced sensors suites to scan for enemies and the lower wings have jammers and shield protectors. When landing, the wings rise and then retract, which covers the upper wings' sensors, protecting them with a thick armor.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens[]
Kylo Ren's command shuttle is present at the assault on Jakku when Kylo Ren meets and kills Lor San Tekka and captures Poe Dameron while looking for the map that would lead to the missing Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. Later, it is seen at the Battle of Takodana where Kylo Ren captures Rey in the woods and carries her unconscious in his arms to his shuttle.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi[]
The shuttle is seen at the Battle of Crait, where Kylo Ren and General Hux lead the attack at the Resistance base using several AT-M6 and also First Order AT-ATs. Kylo eventually leaves the shuttle to confront his uncle unaware that it is actually a Force projection.
