You can tell that I really love Disney. I'm also proud of my Asperger's syndrome, which I consider a superpower. A few years ago, my mom and I made a Disney-themed gift basket to be raffled off at the Greater Cincinnati Autism Expo. And ever since I found out about autistic characters in non-Disney shows like Arthur and Sesame Street, I thought it would be totally awesome if there were autistic Disney characters. Well, Disney managed to make my wish come true! When my family got Disney Plus, the first things I watched were two Pixar shorts featuring autistic characters: Float and Loop. Disney Junior's Fancy Nancy has featured an episode in which the titular character makes a new autistic friend. And now two of the puppies in 101 Dalmatian Street (Dawkins and Da Vinci) have been confirmed to be on the autism spectrum. Who knows what awesome thing Disney will do next?!!?
