What's up, guys? Tigerfan45 here, and, I'm back again. I got a request from my good friend, Ratigan6688 to talk about movies about mice that I enjoy. Alright, Ratigan, this one's for you.

#1: The Great Mouse Detective

Who is this movie about? Basil of Baker Street, my good fellow!

I remember watching The Great Mouse Detective a lot when I was a kid. As a kid, I liked it. And, as an adult, I still like it. One of the best things about the movie is its story. Not only is it a mystery story, it's also a throwback to the old Sherlock Holmes movies. In fact, Basil's name is a reference to the actor, Basil Rathbone, who played Sherlock Holmes. Speaking of which, Basil, himself is a very enjoyable character, he's kinda like a mouse version of Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory. I also thought that Ratigan was a very cool villain, especially with his voice actor, Vincent Price. I also really loved his song, "The World's Greatest Criminal Mind". Fidget was also stupidly funny, he's among the first Disney henchmen that comes to my mind, along with Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. The climax is also very awesome. Definitely one of Disney's best. So, overall, I really enjoy The Great Mouse Detective. I say check it out, and have some fun.

#2: The Secret of NIMH

File:The Secret of NIMH (1982) Official Trailer - Dom DeLuise, Derek Jacobi Movie HD

Dream by night, wish by day.

The Secret of NIMH is definitely one of Don Bluth's best movies. First up,miss the animation. Simply put, this is phenomenal. This is some of the best hand-drawn animation I've ever seen. I also like the characters in this. Mrs. Brisby is a very likable character, considering the lengths that she goes to to protect her children. I also really liked Mr. Ages. He's kinda like a grumpier version of Rafiki. Jeremy was also very funny, and, his voice actor, Dom Deluise does a great job. Jenner was also a very intimidating villain, and his sword fight with Justin towards the end kept me excited and invested the entire time. And, for an animated movie, there's some pretty heavy stuff in it. I remember when I saw the scene where we figured out where the rats of NIMH came from, I was like "Wow. That's pretty dark." So, overall, I love The Secret of NIMH. I will be sure to watch it plenty more times in the future.

#3: An American Tail

Somewhere, out there, there's a good movie.

I remember watching An American Tail a lot when I was a kid. While I don't like it as much as I did when I was a kid, I still do like it. I really liked Fievel, and his journey to try and find his family. In fact, I remember liking a lot of the characters in this. Tony was very enjoyable, and his efforts to help Fievel find his family makes us like him. Tiger was also very funny, again, mostly because of his voice actor, Dom Deluise. I also liked a few of the songs in this movie, particularly "There are no cats in America". It's catchy, it's fun, and I always end up humming it after I'm done watching the movie. So, I'd highly recommend this movie, especially if you're a fan of mice.

#4: Stuart Little

Stuart Little is another mouse-related movie that I really like, especially as a kid. I really liked most of the characters. Stuart, himself is very likable, and his voice actor, Michael J. Fox does a great job voicing him. Snowbell is also pretty funny, especially with his voice actor, Nathan Lane (who I would better know as Timon). I also thought that this movie was very well-paced. It takes just enough time to develop the characters, and, it does a good job balancing the comedy with the drama. If I did have to pick one problem, it would be the character of George. I just don't like this guy. I don't know what it is, this guy just came off as a jerk to me. But, honestly, that's just a nitpick. But, overall, I really like Stuart Little. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out.

So, those are the movies about mice that I really enjoy. Did you like this list? What other types of animals do you think I should cover? Until next time, see ya around!
