Hey, what's up, everybody? Athaggard157 is back, and today we're going to talk about my favorite movies, whether they are Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, or Marvel. As a Disney fan, I personally love Disney and Pixar. If you don’t like those, please don’t bash on me! OK, here we go. Here we go, OK.

Life is about the journey, not the finish line. Enjoy the trip.

I really love this movie so darn much! The idea of anthropomorphic vehicles sounds like fun to me, and the animation looks wonderful. Lightning McQueen has been my favorite character for years since the movie was released, and I really like his character development: he starts off as a cocky and foolish character who believes he doesn’t need help from anybody, but later turns to a more lovable protagonist as the movie progresses. I also love the hilarious tow truck, Mater, who never fails to crack me up with his very funny antics, like tractor tipping and driving backwards. I do think Chick Hicks is the only completely horrible character in the movie, as he keeps cheating, and never stops. There are great songs, like Real Gone, Life is a Highway, Behind the Clouds, Find Yourself, and Route 66, all of which are awesome music to listen to. It was really sad that Joe Ranft passed away, but, hey, we have two sequels, one that looks really familiar to me since 2011 and another one that could’ve ended better but still works.

Also, the scenes between Lightning and Sally are cute and perfect because they are my favorite movie couple of all time. If you think this is the Doc Hollywood of Pixar, then you are not so right. Not only are the racing scenes quite enjoyable, but the Radiator Springs part of the story was great and enjoyable as well. With the aforementioned wonderful animation, lovable characters, great voice acting, hilarious humor, and great story, this will always be my favorite Pixar movie ever!

Finding Nemo[]

There are 3.7 trillion fish in the ocean. They're looking for one.

Who needs a show about a kitchen sponge, when you can enjoy a movie about a clownfish? I love this movie! It has a great story about a young clownfish named Nemo, who is taken to an aquarium in Sydney after trying to prove how brave he is, so his father, Marlin, and his friend, Dory, encounter friendly sharks, a hungry anglerfish, dangerous jellyfish, hilarious sea turtles, a harmless whale, and pelicans if they are to find him. Nemo tries to escape, with help from the tank gang, led by a moorish idol named Gill. But another thing is: I despise the Barracuda for threatening Marlin's perfectly good moments! Also, Darla's such a selfish brat who just kills fish by not taking care of any of them correctly! The beginning was great, while it was really sad that Coral got eaten to death by the barracuda.

With beautiful animation, great voice acting, and a story that combines both comedy and drama at the same time, it remains one of the best movies ever created by Pixar. And also one of the most stunning-looking. The score is also amazing, and the humor is really funny, and I like the morals. The quotes: "Fish are friends, not food!", "Just keep swimming!", "THE RING OF FIRE!", "P. Sherman 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney," and of course, "MINE! MINE! MINE!" are some of the best lines throughout the entire movie and we also got a sequel from three years ago, starring Dory herself, and it looks really good! Finding Nemo is a fin-tastic movie and one of my favorite movies ever!

WALL-E[]

After 700 years of what he was built for, he'll do what he was meant for.

No one says robots can't have emotions! Especially not me. Everyone loves a great romantic comedy movie, even if it is for kids to enjoy. WALL-E has always been my favorite robot ever, and the cutest as well. He has a great love story with EVE, and they are so adorable together! The plot is about WALL-E being the last robot cleaning the trash on Earth until he meets EVE, falls in love with her, and follows her across the galaxy. As much as I love WALL-E and EVE, I also love M-O, who befriends WALL-E after he tries many times to clean him up, but misses a spot every time. The story is wonderful and very interesting, and I love the animation which looks great, and there are plenty of funny and emotional scenes.

I also enjoy the sound mixing and editing, and the Hello Dolly! references are perfect for the movie and makes it even more entertaining. I also love the soundtrack, and the humor is hilarious, as always for Pixar, and with the life messages, humor, animation, story, and characters, it is and remains my favorite robot and sci-fi movie of all time!

The Lion King[]

The greatest adventure of all is finding our place in the circle of life.

If you want a hand drawn-animated favorite movie of yours, The Lion King is easily your best bet. Same goes to me, as I have read plenty of books about it when I was just a kid.

Anyway, the story is about a young lion cub named Simba, who desires to become future King of Pride Rock someday, but his evil uncle, Scar, has other plans: to kill him and Mufasa, so he could become the king! However, when Simba hears about his plans, he sets out to save the kingdom of Pride Rock (with help from his childhood friend Nala, and the wisecracking, hilarious meerkat-warthog duo of Timon & Pumbaa). I like Simba a lot, but his cub design is absolutely my favorite! I also despise Scar for killing Mufasa and forcing Simba to think he did the same! Other than that, the scene "They Call Me Mr. Pig!" was one of the most hilarious moments out of the entire movie. I love the songs and score as well. With great animation, memorable characters, fun-filled songs, and exciting battle scenes, this remains one of the best movies Disney has to offer. And don't forget: if you want to see the live-action remake, I suggest you go see it. And if you don't like it, that’s fine.

Monsters, Inc.[]

We scare because we care.

Beware of monsters that lurk in your closet doors. Just kidding! It's hilarious, creative, smart, heartwarming, and original. Speaking of creative and original, it has a creative plot of monsters scaring kids so they can power their city, and how they work in an office environment. Believe it or not, Mike Wazowski is my favorite character. He is funny, friendly, smart, kind, and quick-thinking. Billy Crystal did a great job voicing him. I also love Sulley, as he is loyal to Mike, likable, and good-natured. His relationship with Boo, the cute little girl, was really heartening.

Although Waternoose turns out to be the true villain, I like to think Randall is the bad guy, as he tries to beat Mike and Sulley at the scare record, and even kidnapped Boo, and Celia is a great love interest of Mike, as she is loving, sweet, and kind towards him, though when angry, she gets aggressive, but that’s okay, because mistakes happen. As great as the movie is, the scene where Sulley scares Boo (though not on purpose) was really sad. Other than that, the humor is hilarious, and so are the outtakes!😂 But, seriously, the score is great, and even "If I Didn't Have You" was great, too. Mike and Sulley are great characters, in one movie that is one of Pixar's most awesome movies I’ve ever watched.

Planes[]

PLANES FILM VertPoster 550 11

When your road is the sky, adventure is waiting in every direction.

From above the exciting world of Cars comes a hilarious, high-flying comedy adventure that takes off in the skies, and is created by the now-closed Disneytoon Studios instead of Pixar (which is a good thing). The plot follows a crop duster named Dusty, who dreams of being an air racer, but, because of his fear of heights, and due to being a crop duster himself, doesn’t have the chance, that is, until Skipper, his mentor and a flight instructor, helps him train, and, eventually, Dusty goes up against the world's greatest air racers.

It's great to see Dusty make friends with Ishani, El Chupacabra, and Bulldog, and I love the idea of a vehicle movie that takes place in the Cars world, and the characters, like Dusty, are actually interesting, and people, in my opinion, take for granted thinking the story is weak, but not to me, it's really not. The animation, voice acting, characters, action, and humor are all great, and it is one of the most misunderstood and memorable movies in my entire life.

Toy Story[]

Hang on for the comedy that goes to infinity and beyond!

Hold on to the hilarious comedy that goes to infinity and beyond! It features Tom Hanks as Woody, a pull string cowboy doll, and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, a modern plastic spaceman action figure, who thinks he is a space ranger. They were rivals to begin with, but became friends at the course of the movie. Unfortunately, their said differences separate them from Andy, their owner, and get them stuck in Sid's house. In order to get back home, and move to Andy's new house, they have to get help from mutant toys, before time runs out.

The animation looks great for the time of release, the voice acting is amazing, the humor is funny, and the concept is completely creative. One thing I don’t tolerate is Mr. Potato Head continuously blaming Woody for something he didn’t mean to do: knocking Buzz out the window. Other than that, he is a good character outside of that. The songs sung by Randy Newman and his score are fantastic, and there are even three sequels; one in 1999, another in 2010, and yet another earlier this year. With the animation, humor, characters, story, screenplay, and music, it remains one of the most popular movies in animation history and general.

The Incredibles[]

Save the day. November 5.

This movie really is incredible! The animation, voice acting, story, and action sequences are incredible too. The story follows the Parr family, who are all forced to live a quiet suburban life, while hiding their powers, and despite loving his family, Bob hates the mundanity of his life and job. But then, Mr. Incredible's desire to help people gets the entire family to confront a vengeful villain, Syndrome, and a giant robot.

I enjoyed the sequel, and the animation, story, humor, and action are still great, and the music for this movie is really fun. Even Jack-Jack Attack was a fun short, as we get to see even more of Jack-Jack's awesome powers. The one thing, other than the scene where the superheroes from decades were killed off, that I don’t like is Mr. Huph's ill treatment towards Bob. I like the ending, though, as the Underminer sets up the second movie. The awesome action and hilarious humor make this my favorite superhero movie ever!

Wreck-It Ralph[]

Wreck It Ralph Poster

When the arcade closes, the fun begins.

When it comes to video game-jumping movies, nothing can top the score of this one! The aggressive-but-good-hearted "villain" of his game, Fix-It Felix, Jr., Ralph, not wanting to be the villain any longer, wants to prove instead that he can be a good guy. On his way, he meets a toughened military sergeant, an evil king, and a little glitch girl named Vanellope von Schweetz. In the midpoint of his game-jumping journey, Ralph unintentionally lets out a destructive enemy that threatens to destroy the arcade world.

I love the animation, humor, voice acting, story, and characters, even the cool video game character cameos, especially Bowser, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pac-Man, Clyde, Zangief, Frogger, and Q*bert. The idea of a movie focusing on a video game villain who desires to be a hero is rather unique and original. Its soundtrack is great, and it shows that even cliches can be done right. The character development is really good, and King Candy's revelation as Turbo is so surprising! The scene where Ralph destroys Vanellope's kart is really sad, but, hey, good thing Felix helped him fix it. Like you guys expect, it remains one of the greatest movies ever made by Disney, while the sequel is decent, but not really as great as the original.

The Muppets[]

Get ready for Muppet domination.

Has it really been years since we last saw the Muppets? We don’t have any answer to that, other than 12 years after Muppets from Space. Anyways, the movie's plot is: devoted fan Walter, his human brother Gary, and Gary's girlfriend Mary, help Kermit reunite the Muppets, as they need to raise $10,000,000 to save the Muppet Theater from oil baron, Tex Richman, a businessman who plans to destroy it to drill for oil.

I gotta say, the songs, humor, characters, story, mix of nostalgia and new elements, puppetry, and source material are all great, and it is one of my favorite Muppet movies ever! However, I really don’t get the "fart shoes" joke, though it was just a spoof of bad jokes. Also, the balance between comedy and emotional moments was fantastic, and the famous song, Rainbow Connection, returns after years. As mentioned earlier, there are lots of hilarious moments. It is easily one of my favorite Muppet movies of all time.

So, what do you think? Which movie out of this list is your favorite? Which one do you think should be on this list? Let me know in the comments below.
