Recent reports and rumours have speculated that Elsa may have a girlfriend in the upcoming sequel. Many fans previously predicted this, with Elsa's ice powers acting as a metaphor for homosexuality (has to hide in shame, can't tell anyone her secret), with "Let it Go" acting as an anthem of self-acceptance. While I think the idea of a gay character would be awesome in a Disney film, I don't they'll fully out Elsa as gay because it would be considered too controversial. I think they'll probably plant small seeds, that hint she's gay, without actually saying it. Hopefully I'm wrong about this, because representation is very important, whether it's ethnicity, sexuality or other factors (still waiting for a disabled Disney princess).
