"Vamp-iversary" is the first segment of the thirty-eighth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on August 9, 2019 and is the first segment of the thirteenth episode of the second season.
Synopsis[]
It's Boris and Oxana's anniversary and no one is more excited to celebrate her parents than Vee.
Plot[]
Vampirina, Demi, and Gregoria are preparing for Oxana and Boris' four hundred year wedding anniversary. Vampirina reveals a perfect gift she found for the occasion, one containing Oxana and Boris' first dinner together. Demi and Gregoria assume that they'll love it, and Demi wraps it in a present. Vampirina then places the bow stuck on Gregoria on the present. Later, Oxana tells her that she is going to get some new air de-fresheners for the basement, as they're out of Wet Werewolf and Murky Swamp. Boris then takes his cloaks in for dry cleaning before he and Oxana leave.
Vampirina assumes it's strange, and Demi assumes that Oxana and Boris forgot their anniversary. Chef Remy Bones then shows up, having heard everything. Vampirina decides to remind her parents what their anniversary is all about. She decides for her, Demi, Gregoria, and Bones to do that by giving them a better gift, one that includes recreating the picture of Oxana and Boris' first date, so that they're reminded why their anniversary is important. They accept, and the picture has everything they need to know.
Bones then decides to cook an an exploding egg soufflé, which is the most difficult and messy of all the Transylvanian cuisines, and that only a talented chef can do so. Vampirina and Gregoria notice what is on the picture, and Gregoria decides to set the table on the ceiling, as Oxana and Boris were eating at the Bat Cave, Transylvania's best ceiling-top diner for vampires. Demi then tries to recite the spell to make the table and chairs go upside down, but they end up flipping. Demi and Gregoria try to control them while Vampirina gets the flowers. However, the flowers cry, and she tells them to think of something happy.
When she takes the flowers inside, Demi and Gregoria still have no luck with the table and chairs. Gregoria mentions that the flowers are Weeping Wisterias, which cry. Bones then returns, having completed the exploding egg soufflé. When he sees the table and chairs flipping, he slips on water, causing the soufflé to splatter all over the room. Vampirina assumes that Oxana and Boris' dinner is a mess. Bones mentions dessert, and reveals that he made the cupcakes on the counter. However, Demi and Gregoria ate them after chasing the chairs. Bones mentions that they are lovecakes, and that one who eats them will fall in love with the first one they see.
As a result, Demi and Gregoria then love the first things they see. Vampirina assumes that the situation can't get any worse when Oxana and Boris return. Vampirina tells Bones to distract them while she cleans up. Oxana and Boris notice the sounds while Bones claims he didn't hear anything. Meanwhile, Vampirina, Demi, and Gregoria are trying to clean up while Bones distracts Oxana and Boris. They then see what's going on, and Vampirina tells them everything that happened, as she feared Oxana and Boris forgot their anniversary. Oxana understands, and mentions that she didn't forget the anniversary; she and Boris were trying to find a gift for each other all day, when the perfect gift, which was Vampirina, was waiting. She spent all day trying to do something special for Oxana and Boris, which is the best gift she could give them.
Oxana then puts everything back to the way it was. The Hauntleys then decide to have their dinner, as it is better than their first date. Oxana and Boris recap that each year since they got married got better than before, and how love gets better with time. Vampirina mentions that something is missing, that being the upside-down table. The Hauntleys then give cheers to their wedding anniversary while continuing their dinner.
